Client Testimonials

Director’s own testimonial

I migrated to Adelaide, Australia in September 2007 with my family. I had the experience I had built up over the years mainly in project initiation and management, business development, residential development, project auditing, system analysis and research. Previously I was Director of an IT company and a residential development company abroad. My qualifications were BA Psychology and Master of Science in Development Planning degrees.
I knew it would take time to build up a business and since we had to, in a way, start all over again, buying 2 cars, putting a deposit on our first Australian property and so on, I knew that I had to seriously look at getting an income sooner than later. I applied for countless jobs from construction project management positions to sales and administration positions but was shown away each time. I went for an interview at the commercial construction company Tagara Group. I was then interviewed by the Director Michael Hickinbotham of Hickinbotham Group for a position as project manager and he said that he had to choose between me and another man from Sydney. I do not want to suggest he made the wrong decision and I am glad today that he did not make me an offer -- this motivated me to start my own company. For some reason, although I realise it may have been to show me away in a not too unfriendly manner, he said to me, “You know I realise that you can do anything, even the work that I do, but you don’t seem to sell yourself very effectively.” One of the real estate agency principals who interviewed me said to me , “You are over qualified.”
I did not know if it was my accent that made my results less positive or if it was the fact that I was a female trying to enter management positions in the construction and real estate industry. Instead of pitying myself, I soon got involved with what I was really good at – research - specifically in the real estate industry. While obtaining my qualifications in real estate and my license as land agent, I felt particularly excited because I realised that the real estate industry is over and over my passion.
During 2009, when spending endless time on property market research, I entered the property market as property owner and both as investor and developer. I applied two of our property investment and development models myself. I am happy to say that in effect our mortgage will be paid off over a 3 - 4 year period while we enjoy living  in our main residence on 2500sqm with a magnificent view over the hills and sea. Furthermore, the value of our main residence increased by 10% since we purchased it 2 years ago.
I realised that I can use my knowledge, skills and experience in property market research, development project initiation, feasibility studies, due diligence, negotiations, buying of excellent value properties, project management and marketing to assist other people to hopefully become financially independent too. So after operating O’Reilly Real Estate for 8 months, I developed the business concept, models and systems for O’Reilly Property Investment Pty Ltd. O’Reilly Property Investments was launched in Dec. 2009 and within the first 4 months of operation, I obtained 8 orders from clients for residential development projects with a total gross release value of $2,710,000.
It is my passion to assist clients through my experience in property development and real estate market research. Contact me now if you want to invest directly in property development projects or if you have land available for development but you need professional assistance to initiate and develop the opportunity for you.
